Motor Vehicle Accidents

Car Wrecks, Tractor-Trailer Accidents, Motorcycle Wrecks, and Other Roadway Accidents

More than 32,000 people are killed and 2 million are injured each year from motor vehicle crashes, according to the CDC. While you hope you or a loved one never have a severe car accident, sometimes it is out of your control. When someone else causes an accident, holding them accountable can help you seek relief and restitution for injury or death.

Car accidents and other kinds of motor vehicle accidents can be a difficult situation to navigate. After a severe or catastrophic wreck, the last thing on your mind is fighting with car insurance to pay medical bills. Even worse, if you’re mourning the loss of a loved one because of someone else’s negligence, fighting with insurance can take time away from the mourning process. I work with clients who have been injured in a car wreck, truck accident, motorcycle accident, pedestrian accident other accidents that happen on the roadway. My goal is to make the process as compassionate as possible while working towards a fair recovery and outcome to maximize the value of your claim.  In Arkansas, there is a lot of choice for a car accident attorney but many of those choices don’t have the ability to give personalized care to your case and have a lawyer address your needs and concerns by spending time talking with you. At my personal injury law firm, I take a limited number of cases per year to give thorough attention and time to each case, whether it is settled or even goes to trial.

How I help clients who have been in severe motor vehicle accidents

My Motor Vehicle Injury Process

1. Investigate and listen

I will listen to you on what happened, and investigate when you don’t fully know what happened. Find out who may be responsible. How do your injuries affect you, and your ability to care for yourself, your family, your finances, your home, and your job. And how your daily activities and hobbies have changed.

2. Find benefits that are available to you now

I will look for insurance coverage and benefits that may be due to you now. This is often focused on your ability to receive all needed medical treatment and disability benefits.

3. Preserving evidence

If there is evidence available that will prove your case, it is vital to find it as soon after the accident as possible. This is the accident scene, including documents before and after the accident. The evidence may disappear or be destroyed, so it is important after a wreck to contact an attorney immediately. You can be assured that the insurance company is doing this with a goal to not pay your claim. It is vital that you have an attorney (your advocate) working for you as soon as possible after the wreck.

4. Hire experts

At times it is necessary to hire experts to prove your claim. This may show who is at fault, and why or how they are at fault. Experts are required early in the investigation. Accident reconstructionists, engineers, or safety experts are examples. With twenty years of experience, I’ve learned what information makes a strong case, how to obtain that information if it exists in the case, and how to present the information.

5. Persevere to recovery

These days the insurance companies often spend a lot of time and money working to not pay you. The insurance companies keep records on attorneys’ performances. They often know which attorneys settle cases quickly for low value. The attorney who works hard to attempt to obtain the best recovery for you is certainly noticed by the insurance company. The attorney is one who will go to trial for you in the right case. You want an attorney with the knowledge and skills, and willing to spend the time, effort, and money on the cases that need to be pursued. I will do what is in your best interest, whether to settle at the right time or go to trial. I have the experience, desire and ability to fight for you through to the end.
